IN THE NEWS
June 1, 2013 SAGA held the National Trails Day events in Indian and Juneau. Their Indian partners included Chugach State Park, REI, and Alaska Trails (non-profit trails advocacy group) with a total group of approximately 50 people. SAGA's Juneau partners were the City and Borough of Juneau and Trails Mix (non-profit trail org.) with approximately 45 people. This is SAGA's first National Trails Day events.
The attached photo is from the Juneau event; those in hard hats are SAGA folks.
Currently, the Juneau trail (Outer Point Trail on North Douglas) that SAGA worked on is in the process of being made wheelchair accessible.
