Trade Opportunities

SUBJECT:  Alaska (Yellow) Cedar Lumber

We received the following trade lead from a company in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are interested in Alaska (yellow) cedar lumber, and will purchase green lumber but prefer a kiln-dried product (12% moisture content).

Rough Green sizes:

(a) 42 x 125mm or 35 x 125mm - 8/16' or longer

(b) 40 x 140mm or 33 x 140mm - 8/16' or longer

Grade Required:

No wane, rot or splits but will accept knots up to 1/3rd the width, provided they are sound, live, intergrown knots. They prefer lumber produced from small logs, i.e. 8 - 12" in diameter.

Destination: Regular shipment to Seattle, WA or Vancouver, B. C.
