SUBJECT:  Western Hemlock and Sitka Spruce Logs and Lumber

We received the following unsolicited trade lead from a company based in Hong Kong. They currently import logs and lumber from British Columbia and the lower 48. They are seeking new sources of supply in Alaska.

They are interested in both Sitka spruce and western hemlock logs and lumber. They currently import approximately 6,000 cubic meters each month (about 2.5 mmbf).
