New Vendor for the AKPDMP
On March 15, 2013, Alaska’s Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (AKPDMP) will be operated by a new vendor. Health Information Designs, LLC will be operating the AKPDMP database on behalf of the State of Alaska. The new website to access the AKPDMP will be www.alaskapdmp.com.
How to Register for Access to the AKPDMP Database:
- On or after March 15, 2013, new user can visit the AKPDMP website (www.alaskapdmp.com) to complete an AKPDMP Query Site Online Registration Form for Practitioners and Pharmacists.
- Once you have filled out the online application, you will be prompted to print, sign, and send the application to the Alaska Board of Pharmacy.
- If we approve your account online, the system will send you an email containing your login information.
If you are currently registered and have access to the old database, you will receive an email prior to march 15, 2013, with a new temporary password and instructions for accessing the new database.
Accessing Patient Controlled Substance Information:
- On March 15, 2013, we will activate all accounts for access. Go to the AKPDMP website (www.alaskapdmp.com) and click the Practitioner/Pharmacist link.
- Click the Practitioner and Pharmacist Query Site link, and then log in using the credentials you received when your account was approved.
- Use the instructions in the “Training Guide for Practitioners” to search for and retrieve patient dispensing information.
