The mission of the Board of Public Accountancy is to protect the public interest by ensuring that only qualified persons are licensed and appropriate standards of competency and practice are established and enforced.

The Alaska Board of Public Accountancy is staffed by the Division of Corporations, Business, and Professional Licensing. The board consists of five certified public accountants and two public members. Board members are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Legislature.

The board adopts regulations to carry out the laws governing the practice of public accountancy in Alaska. It makes final licensing decisions and takes disciplinary action against people who violate the licensing laws. The board meets four times a year and offers a public comment period at each meeting. Meeting agendas and minutes are available from the licensing examiner.

You may download a complete roster of board licensees or just selected types. Keep in mind that not every computer is compatible to retrieving the information on-line. Other alternatives include purchasing a CDRom of desired license types. The cost for the CDRom is $100.00 and includes all professions licensed by the Division of Corporation and Professional Licensing or just those you are interested in. A paper roster of licensees may be purchased for $5.00.
