Registered Agents
All corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships and limited liability partnerships doing business in Alaska must have a registered agent with an Alaska state address. The registered agent must be an individual resident of Alaska or a corporation authorized to transact business in Alaska. A corporation may not act as its own agent. Attorneys and incorporated law firms can also act as registered agents.
The registered agent receives biennial report notices, accepts legal papers served on the entity, and forwards them to the last known address of the entity.
Registered agents must have an Alaska address. If the mailing address of the registered agent is a post office box, the registered agent must also provide their physical address.

To change the Registered Agent or the address of the Registered Agent: submit a Statement of Change form along with the $25.00 non-refundable filing fee. Click on the Forms & Fees link below, locate your entity type and select the Statement of Change form. Print and mail the form to the Corporations Section along with the $25.00 non-refundable filing fee.
A Registered Agent may resign: submit a Registered Agent Resignation form along with the $25.00 non-refundable filing fee. The resignation is effective 30 days after receipt of the notice unless the entity appoints a successor agent sooner. Click on the Forms & Fees link below, locate your entity type and select the Registered Agent Resignation form. Print and mail the form to the Corporations Section along with the $25.00 non-refundable filing fee.
