User Guide to SBS CE Provider Services

Becoming an Approved Provider
Providers must submit a CE provider application through SBS, pay a $200 provider application fee, and agree to participate in the Division’s online CE system available through SBS

Course Filing Requirements
Approved CE providers must complete and submit a CE course application through SBS and pay a $50 course application fee.

Providers must also submit the following documentation when applying for CE course approval.

Contact Course Applications Require:

  • Course Submission and Summary Form
  • Course content outline or summary with estimates of time to be spent on each topic covered
  • Contact information for each instructor (name, phone number, email address)
  • Grading, evaluation, and course completion criteria
  • Explanation of how course attendance will be monitored


Self-Study Course Applications Require:

  • Course Submission and Summary Form
  • Course content outline or summary
  • Any documents provided to course participants
  • Grading, evaluation, and course completion criteria
  • Sample examinations


Online Contact and Self-Study Courses Require:

  • Reference materials, graphics, and interactivity
  • Instructions on how to register, navigate, and complete the course
  • Technical support available during business hours
  • Process to verify participant ID
  • Method of preventing access to the examination until course is completed
