Nurse Aide certification renewals are underway. Renewal applications were mailed to certificate holders on February 19, 2014. Renewal applications can also be downloaded from the Nurse Aide Registry webpage.
Licensed Practical Nurse renewals begin August 1, 2014 and end September 30, 2014. Online renewal will be available. You will receive a post card in the mail reminding you to renew with the online renewal web address. Update your address with the Division if needed.
Registered Nurse, Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist license renewals begin October 1, 2014 and end November 30, 2014. Online renewal for RN and ANP will be available. CRNAs will continue to renew by paper. You will receive a reminder or the renewal form in the mail when renewals begin. Update your address with the Division if needed.

The Board adopts regulations to carry out the laws governing the practice of Nursing and the work of Nurse Aides in Alaska. It makes final licensing decisions and takes disciplinary action against people who violate the licensing laws.
The Board meets four times a year and offers a public comment period at each meeting.
