Search the Listings

The Alaska Film Office has chosen Reel-Scout as our system provider for Film Crew, Support Services and Talent listings.

Crew, Talent and Support Service Provider Listings are provided for the benefit of production companies thinking about filming in Alaska and for Alaska individuals and companies to promote themselves. Consistent with state ethics guidelines and statutes, this does not constitute or imply an endorsement or recommendation by the State of Alaska.

Using our Crew, Support Services and Talent system

The Alaska Film Office has chosen Reel-Scout as our solution provider for Film Crew and Support Services listings as well as our locations database. The Locations db will be addressed in another FAQ.

Below is a quick summary of using the crew and service provider module of Reel-Scout. The system is very intuitive and easy to use, but if you have questions please start here. If this FAQ doesn't answer your questions, please contact the Alaska Film Office.

This is Alaska's Reel-Scout Crew and Service Listings landing page. From here you have a few main options:

  1. return to the Alaska Film Office website on the State's servers.
  2. go to the Crew or Service Provider "search" pages to see our listings.
  3. login as an existing Crew or Service Provider account holder.
  4. register to create a Crew or Service Provider account.

Search Listings

First, all the menu options on the top of the web page take you back to the Official Alaska Film Office Website.

The Second option, clicking one of the "Search" buttons takes you to the appropriate search page.

The Third option, logs you in to an existing account, and is explained in later in this document.

Finally, the Fourth option registers you as a new user, more on that on our Creating Listings page.

12 - Searching Listings

Please take the time to explore the Crew, Support Service and Talent listings search system. A few things to note:

  • The main search can be made on "free text" a name, company, special skill, keyword etc. It can also key on one of Alaska's 5 main regions. Finally it allows selection of multiple industry standard categories.

  • Not making any initial selection returns the entire list sorted by category.
  • Once the basic search has opened, options to refine the search appear on the left - refine by keyword, region, county, city and/or affiliation.
  • Clicking on a name opens a print-friendly look at the entire public listing.
  • Each listing type (Crew, Support Service and Talent) is stored separately and have to be searched separately.

3 - Login to Your Account

Login to Reel-Scout to edit your Crew, Support Services Provider or Talent listing.

4 - Register as a New User

Clicking on "Register Now" takes you to the registration page for new listing accounts.

  • You will have to choose your listing type (crew, support service or talent) and create your login id and password. For more information, choose our Creating Listings page
