SBA Economic Disaster Worksheet

In July, the Governor and the Alaska Federation of Natives requested the disaster determination for the Yukon and Kuskokwim rivers. The governor added Cook Inlet to the request last month. Dr. Rebecca Blank, Acting Secretary of Commerce, has determined fisheries disaster determination is warranted for Chinook salmon fisheries on the Yukon and Kuskokwim rivers and in Cook Inlet, due to low returns during the 2012 fishing season and previous years. The Department of Commerce announced the disaster declaration on September 13, 2012.
