Municipality Ordinance Title Number Applicability to Management Measure
Anchorage Wastewater discharge restrictions 15.65.020 Requires lots serving single-family dwelling with well or public water to have on-site waste water disposal system or public sewer; restricts discharge of wastewater to on-site wastewater disposal system or public sewer.
Anchorage Restrictions on discharges into wastewater disposal systems. 15.65.025 Restricts discharge of surface water; roof drainage water into onsite disposal system.
Anchorage On-site wastewater disposal permits. 15.65.030 Permits for on-site disposal systems are issued on an annual basis. Department may conduct site inspections or require additional information prior to issuance of permits or health authority certificates.
Bethel Water and sewer systems. 15.08.090 New or replacement water supply/sanitary sewage/on-site systems will be designed/constructed to minimize/eliminate infiltration of floodwaters into systems and discharge from systems into floodwaters.
Juneau Private sewage disposal. 75.02.060 Requires inspection for compliance of private sewage disposal systems; regulates operation and maintenance.
Ketchikan Gateway Borough Inspection and maintenance of on-site sewerage systems 17.10.120 (b) Borough is responsible for ensuring inspection/maintenance of all new sewerage (on-site included) systems installed through sewer enterprise fund.
Ketchikan Gateway Borough On-site sewer system pumping, sludge removal and treatment 17.10.130 Owners of on-site sewage treatment systems have responsibility to maintain systems; Borough monitors, inspects, pumps systems every three years. Sludge from on-site systems to be stored/composted at Ward Cove facility.
Ketchikan Gateway Borough Sewer connection required. 17.20.125 Requires qualifying onsite disposal systems to have annual inspections certifying compliance.
