Program Goals:

The Recreational Trails Grant Program is available for trail development, trail maintenance, easement acquisition, environmental protection, or safety-education programs relating to trail use.

Resource Provided:

This program offers 80/20 federal matching funds. Applicants are allowed to request up to a maximum of $50,000 per application.

Eligibility:

Municipalities, public agencies, Native organizations, or non-profit organizations are eligible

Applications are available at http://www.alaskatrails.org and are due by October 1.
