Direct and Counter-Cyclical Payment Program

Program Goals:
This program provides payments based on base acres and established payment yields to eligible producers on farms enrolled for the 2002 through 2007 crop years.
Resource Provided:
Cash payments.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for payments, producers must share in the risk of producing a crop, annually report the use of the farm's cropland acreage, comply with conservation and wetland protection requirements and planting flexibility requirements, use the base acres for agricultural or related activities, and protect all base acres from erosion. Commodities include barley, oats, canola, and wheat.

This program is currently receiving applications from Alaska.
Comments:
Producers may elect when to receive their payments in accordance with the applicable payment timetable.
