Program Goals:
To sustainably meet the health facility needs of Alaska.
Resource Provided:
Grant funding from Health, Resources, and Services Administration (HRSA). For the past five years, the Denali Commission has received approximately $40 million each year; however, in FY09, they received just under $20 million, and there is no guarantee of continued funding, as it is subject to congressional appropriations. In addition to grants, technical assistance for business plans is available to health clinics.
Eligibility:
All organized governments are eligible to submit project applications, as are tribal or community non-profit organizations actively involved in providing local healthcare services.
