- Provide assistance to families in finding appropriate child care.
- Provide support to child care providers to expand the availability of quality child care.
- Provide assistance to individuals interested in starting a child care center or becoming a home care provider.

- Assist families by providing consumer education on selecting quality care and advise parents of provider vacancies.
- Provide professional development through child care education and training opportunities.
- Support child care providers to enhance their quality of care.
