Program Goals:
Provide assistance to Alaska child care providers to improve the quality of the child care services they offer.
Resource Provided:
Grant awards for facility staff salaries, substitute care, health- and safety-related items, and education and training of staff related to child development.
Eligibility:
Child care providers must have a current Alaska Child Care License and participate in the Alaska Child Care Assistance program to receive assistance through a child care grant.
Comments:
Applications for the grant are available from the Child Care Program Office and may be submitted at any time. Payments are made on a monthly basis, based on the number of children in attendance. Grant awards are based on the availability of funding.
