Copperville is approximately 5 miles south of Glennallen on the Richardson Highway, between the Tazlina and Copper Rivers. The community
lies at approximately 62.072310° North Latitude
and -145.413870° West Longitude.

Copperville is located in the continental climate zone. Winters are long and cold, and summers are relatively warm. Temperature extremes range from a low of -74 to a high of 96 degrees Fahrenheit. Snowfall averages 39 inches and precipitation is 9 inches per year. |

| This area was developed during the Trans-Alaska pipeline construction.
The population of the community consists of 21.2%
Alaska Native or part Native.
Copper River is traditional Ahtna Athabascan territory; the community is primarily non-Native.
During the 2000 U.S. Census,
total housing units numbered 77, and vacant housing units numbered 16.
Vacant housing units used
only seasonally numbered 11.
U.S. Census data for Year
2000 showed 78 residents
as employed. The unemployment rate at that time was
14.29 percent,
although
43.88 percent of
all adults were not in the work force. The median household
income was $53,125, per capita income was $21,733, and
7.14 percent of residents
were living below the poverty level.

| Most homes use individual water wells. There is a public water source to haul water, and a Glennallen business delivers water to home tanks by truck. Several homes have septic systems. Almost 90% of households are fully plumbed. Garbage collection is provided by Copper Basin Sanitation.
Electricity is provided by Copper Valley Electric Assoc.
There are no state operated schools located in the community.
Local hospitals or health clinics include Copper Center Clinic (907-822-3541) in Copper Center; Cross Road Medical Center in Glennallen (907-822-3203).
Copperville is classified as an isolated village, it is found in EMS Region 2E in the Copper River Region. Emergency Services have highway and helicopter access, and are within 30 minutes of a higher-level satellite health care facility. Emergency service is provided by volunteers
