Division of Community and
Regional Affairs
DCRA, a division within the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, promotes strong communities and healthy economies. Its mandate (Article X, Section 14) is to review community activities, collect and publish local government information, and assist local government in managerial functions.
The advice and assistance support aims to address administrative, personnel, municipal compliance and budgeting issues for the day-to-day management of local governments and public utilities. The division's staff provides on-site advice and assistance.
